Definition: Tesla Bot
A general-purpose robot being developed by Tesla. In September 2022, the Tesla Bot was shown at Tesla's AI Day. Also called "Optimus," a prototype of this "friendly" robot is expected in 2023. See robot, social robot and Tesla.
The Tesla Bot
Designed to eliminate dangerous, repetitive and boring tasks, the Bot's specifications are 5'8" tall and 125 pounds. Walking at a maximum of 5 MPH, it can carry 45 pounds and dead lift 150. (Image courtesy of Tesla Motors.)
